Marcus Ruhl - Incline Dumbbell Press
Working Out With Marcus Ruhl - Exercise 1 - Incline Dumbbell Press: A fantastic exercise to start the chest workout with. The incline press builds the upper chest which I think is more important for a bodybuilder. I chose to do dumbbells because I find that it gives me the best pump and feeling. There's no real reason, but it just works for me. I also tend to keep my incline at lower angles of around 30 degrees as I want to focus on my chest and not my shoulders. Remember to keep the elbows right out to the side and that they're not coming into the body. Always go to full range of motion and keeping the movement nice and slow so that you're keeping constant tension on the chest. I usually do 12 sets for this first exercise going from very light weights at around 20kgs, all the way to 90kgs. Depending on my level of conditioning, I usually rest around 2 minutes on my off season, whereas it would be a minute or less if it was just out from competition. I like to keep it intense to get a great pump and because I hate talking. It's very bad because I'm a gym owner and people are like 'Hey Marcus, I just have a question...' and I'm like 'Shut up, I want to train.'
