One Arm Dumbbell Preacher Curl
The One Arm Dumbbell Preacher Curl is a fantastic exercise to finish off a bicep workout. While you can perform the exercise at any time, it is a great finishing movement. The dumbbell preacher curl can be performed on the preacher bench also known as the Scott bench, named after well known bodybuilder Larry Scott. Starting with the weight close to your face, slowly lower the weight in a controlled manner before raising the weight back up & squeezing at the top of the contraction. Ensure good posture with your chin up. This is a fantastic exercise which will maintain constant tension in your biceps. Don'ts - Avoid doing partials due to use of heavy weights as this prevents full extension & contraction leading to a decrease in the exercise's effectiveness. Also avoid trying to use upper body momentum & swinging to bring the weight up. Nick Jones - World Bodybuilding Champion & Joe Grima - IFBB Bodybuilding Champion
