BSN No-Xplode XE VS Cellucor C4 50x - Mrsupplement

When you’ve been training for a couple of years, you’ll find that the supplements you’ve used in the past no longer has the same kind of effect it has on you. In fact, after awhile, the supplements, especially the pre workouts and fat burners will need to contain just that little bit extra for it to be useful. This is the exact reason why many companies these days have decided to make stronger versions of many of their products. Two new ones that have hit the market include BSN’s NO Xplode XE and Cellucor’s C4 50X. Let’s compare the two and see which one comes out on top.

NO Xplode XE vs C4 50X Ingredients

Both supplements are considered concentrated pre workouts with C4 50X having a couple extra ingredients at 7 over the 5 of NO Xplode XE.

Cellucor C4 50X contains active ingredients such as beta alanine, creatine nitrate, arginine AKG, N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine, Caffeine Anhydrous, XCELICOR Caffeine Pterostilbene Cocrystal and TeaCor Tetramethyluric Acid.

NO Xplode XE’s ingredient profile includes beta alanine, caffeine, guayusa, yohimbe and mucuna. Of course, the above profile is the American version. Any updates for an international version will be taken into account once it’s been released.

As you can see, both supplements contain beta alanine and caffeine with many of the other ingredients helping to support energy and mental performance. As such, they’re both extremely similar supplements, but C4 50X ends up coming out on top thanks to a more evenly rounded supplement that isn’t just about stimulating the hell out of your CNS.

  • Winner: Cellucor C4 50X

NO Xplode XE vs C4 50X Dosage

With respect to the ingredients they share, C4 50X definitely has more beta alanine per serve than NO Xplode XE. It’s hard to tell how much caffeine C4 50X has though making it impossible to compare the two supplements on this front. The use of the stronger yohimbe will definitely mean that NO Xplode XE definitely comes first when it comes to levels of stimulants, thanks to its transparent caffeine figure of 325mg.

As for the other ingredients, C4 50X has a sizeable dose of creatine nitrate, but perhaps not enough arginine AKG. The other compounds are in a proprietary blend, making it hard to tell how well dosed it truly is. Besides caffeine and beta alanine, the other ingredients of NO Xplode XE also appear to be in a proprietary formula, also making it hard to figure out how well dosed it truly is. As such, there’s plenty of pros and cons for both supplements when it comes to dosage, therefore it’s a tie when it comes to the dosage of ingredients.

NO Xplode XE vs C4 50X Effectiveness

Comparing the two supplements, both offer excellent boosts to energy levels, but NO Xplode XE definitely tops this effect. Mental performance and focus are fairly even between the two supplements, although the cognitive boosting effects seem to last longer for the C4 50X. When it comes to other facets of training such as pump, strength, power and endurance support, C4 50X again comes out on top slightly thanks to more generous dosing and the use of active ingredients other than stimulants and nootropics. Which isn’t to say NO Xplode XE isn’t an effective pre workout, but it’s got a much more limited range of effects compared to its Cellucor counterpart.

  • Winner: Cellucor C4 50X

NO Xplode XE vs C4 50X Taste & Mixability

The flavour and mixability technology of both companies is clearly a highlight. Both pre workouts taste great and mix extremely well with very little clumping or residue. Both supplements will be available in Blue Razz (Raspberry) as well as Fruit Punch. In terms of flavour comparisons, NO Xplode XE is a little bit more on the concentrated side in terms of flavours, but both are roughly similar in terms of sweetness. With both supplements extremely similar and both very favourable when it comes to taste and mixability, we’ve decided to award a tie.

  • Winner: Tie

NO Xplode XE vs C4 50X Price & Value

Unfortunately, the final pricing for the NO Xplode XE Australian version has not been finalised, but you’ll probably be looking at a $49.95-$59.95 price tag for a 30-40 serving tub. The C4 50X though is $54.95 for a 45 serve tub making it just over $1.20 per serve, which is quite respectable considering the formula’s double the strength of regular C4. Without any finalised details, we can’t make a proper verdict so it’ll be another tie.

Cellucor C4 50x - Mrsupplement ArticleNO Xplode XE vs C4 50X Overall Verdict

Overall, both new concentrated pre workout supplements from these veteran companies offer an excellent, stronger formula for seasoned trainers and experienced supplement users. NO Xplode XE offers a high energy product for those who want to wake up and get on with the session. C4 50X on the other hand still offers energy, but in a much more well rounded formula with less chance of causing you to crash afterwards. With just a couple more pros, Cellucor’s C4 50X is the winner by a fraction of a margin.
