After another impressive year for the Max’s Muscle Up Challenge 2015, the upcoming Max’s Challenge 2016 promises to be just as exciting and brimming with more challengers, bigger and better prizes and a more thorough support system. If you’ve missed out on last year’s challenge or have simply piled on more weight than you anticipated in the last couple of months, now is the perfect time to update your calendar with the key dates for the 2016 Challenge. Here are some crucial details that you might need.

Maxs Challenge 2016 – Registration Dates

2016 will be the second year that the Max’s Challenge will run twice throughout the year. The first Challenge will start in February 2016 and finish sometime in June, while the second Challenge will begin sometime in August 2016 and finish up by December.

As always, pre registrations for the two challenges will begin two whole weeks prior to the registration openings. The pre registrations will keep you up to date on all the important details and dates required for registration as well as some extra motivating emails to get you pumped and excited for the upcoming challenge.

The 2016 Challenge will again employ the use of two “Check In” points throughout the 12 weeks so you can update progress pics and also as a way to keep you on track and diligent. The dates for these two “Check In” points will be:

Maxs Challenge 2016 – News & Facts

As with the previous years challenges, the challenge will begin with a ‘Before’ image being taken before the start of the challenge. Participants will also have a chance to take some initial fitness measurements with a small fitness test. The Challenge itself is not a bodybuilding contest or a weight loss contest. Rather it is about the biggest physical transformation. Progress pics will be requested after 4 weeks and 8 weeks to ensure that the participant is still maintaining their efforts. Participants can also re-test themselves in terms of their fitness.

This year, one of the biggest changes to the Challenge is the arrival of two new paid versions of the Challenge. A FREE basic plan will still be available, however to gain access to forums and also have a more tailored approach to your fitness and training plans, two premium options are available known as the Premium Plan and the Platinum Plan. Both these plans will come with supplements, continued access to the Challenge community forums, support from the coaches and ambassadors as well as the chance to win prizes. Those in the Basic Plan will still have 1 weeks free access to the forum, but will have to pay if they decide to continue using it after the initial week.

Challengers also have the opportunity to blog and also video their journey and post it to their profile. After the 12 weeks of competition, ‘After’ shots will be taken before public voting begins to find the top 50 finalists. This will be whittled down to just 10 finalists before deliberation on the final placings and the Grand Champion.

The entire competition will be conducted in accordance with anti-doping policies of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and individual participants have the opportunity to sign up with a public or private profile. To be eligible for the prizes however, you will need to have a public profile. Participants also have the opportunity to join groups as a way to assist each other during training.  

Max's Challenge 2016 - Costs

One of the most common concerns with the Max’s Challenge is how much it all costs. The answer to this depends on how you’re competing in the Challenge. For those who are simply after the benefits of the free basic diet and workout plans, then that will be free. However, to be eligible for the prizes as well as access to the Challenger community forum and coaches and ambassadors, you will need to spend a small amount on the required plans. Specifically the Access Plan will set you back $119 and provide you with training programs, nutrition plans, supplement guides and plenty of extra support. The more popular premium plan which is only $149, includes all the benefits of the Access Plan along with a Premium Starter Pack, which includes a Max’s Challenge T-shirt, Max’s Shaker and Max’s product samples.

Overall though, making changes to your diet, nutrition and training isn’t that expensive and you are basically looking at maybe $2 a day, which is really about half the price of a good coffee these days. Considering the massive changes you’ll be experiencing though during the challenge and that fact that these changes will benefit you on the long term, it’s really a small cost to pay.

Max's Challenge 2016 - Prizes

One of the most exciting aspects of the Max’s Challenge 2016 will be the possibility of winning a range of prizes. With over $100,000 worth or prizes up for grabs, you could win anything from a 5 star luxury holiday to a shopping spree to a sponsorship deal and more. With the first place prize being over $10,000 in value, that should be more than enough to keep you motivated to do your best in the Challenge. It should be noted though that only those Challengers who participate in the Premium or Platinum plan will be eligible to win the prizes.
