Cellucor’s C4 has long been considered one of the most versatile and enduring pre workouts on the market since the days of the original Jack3d. Over the past few years, it has climbed the ranks and is now arguably the world’s most popular pre workout. One of the company’s big moves in recent times has been to diversify the C4 range with one of the new releases being a stronger pre workout known as Cellucor C4 50X.

Cellucor C4 50X Highlights

  • 50% more of key ingredients than regular C4
  • Added XCELICOR caffeine and pterostilbene cocrystal for improved and prolonged caffeine function
  • Designed for those who train longer or with higher intensity
  • Same great taste and ease of mixing

Cellucor C4 50X Review & Ingredients

The concept and formula behind Cellucor C4 50X is quite simple, it basically contains 50% more of each ingredient in the original C4. So most of the ingredients have been kept the same including:

  • Beta Alanine – 2.4g
  • Creatine Nitrate – 1.5g
  • Arginine AKG – 1.5g

The energy blends are pretty much the same, both containing caffeine, tyrosine and TeaCor Tetramethyluric Acid. The 50X version also contains two added ingredients including Velvet Bean and XCELICOR, which is a caffeine and pterostilbene cocrystal. The energy blend for C4 50X measures 557mg while the original is only 321mg. The serving size has also increased to 9g from 6.5g, with only a 270g/30 serve tub available.

Cellucor C4 50X Benefits, Pros & Effectiveness

Cellucor C4’s current formula is still one of the best around and one that would suit both beginners to advanced trainers alike. With an extra 50% more of each ingredient, the new C4 50X is definitely geared towards trainers who are a little more advanced with their supplement and pre workout routine. Overall, the supplement offers benefits to energy levels and the reduction of fatigue. The decision to add the XCELICOR is excellent, as less caffeine is needed for the same effects when joined with pterostilbene. This compound also has the added benefit of prolonging its effects. If you’re looking for a pre workout with a bit of a kick in terms of energy and focus, and which is designed for longer workouts, then C4 50X definitely fits the bill.

Cellucor C4 50X Negatives & Cons

While C4 50X certainly has all the right components to support energy levels, motivation, focus and endurance, it doesn’t really contain any serious pump ingredients. You’ve got arginine AKG and creatine nitrate which might contribute slightly to pump, but it’s definitely nowhere near as effective as citrulline. It would also have been helpful to also list how much caffeine there was per serve like they do in the regular C4. We could assume that like everything else, it’s 50% extra, but there’s no real way of finding out.

Cellucor C4 50X Flavours, Taste & Mixability

Cellucor C4 50X is currently only available in three flavours including Fruit Punch, Icy Blue Razz and Watermelon. The flavour has no noticeable difference from that of the regular C4, so it tastes and mixes just as good. Definitely a highlight of the supplement.

Cellucor C4 50X Verdict

Overall, Cellucor’s new and more powerful version of their C4 works well on most levels. It helps to boost your energy levels and also helps you to focus better during your workouts so you can smoothly and quickly transition through all aspects of your workout. It also does a decent job of delaying fatigue and supporting endurance to help you tackle longer workouts. Cellucor’s C4 50X is a solid pre workout designed for those who want more and should prove to be just as popular as the original.
