Creatine Ethyl Ester (Also known or abbreviated as CEE)
Creatine Ethyl Ester HCI or CEE is another member of the popular creatine family. It is basically Creatine Monohydrate, with the exception of an attached ester. Esters are chemical compounds included in creatine ethyl ester with the primary function of improving absorption. They are formed by a process called esterification, which is the reaction of carboxylic acid and alcohols.
A massively successful supplement within the bodybuilding industry, creatine monohydrate has the ability to increase muscle mass, strength and overall athletic performance. The hook with creatine ethyl ester is that it increases what was essentially an average absorption rate. Previously, saturating the system with large doses of creatine was the most effective technique for absorption; however, this sometime leads when not properely hydrates to the token creatine side effects of bloating, cramping and dehydration. Creatine ethyl ester results in advanced absorption, increased bioavailability & stability.
Large dosages of Creatine monohydrate go unabsorbed as they draw water to the target cell instead of penetrating it. This is what causes the infamous creatine bloat. Instead of saturating your system, creatine ethyl ester directly penetrates the muscle cell resulting in far more functional creatine and requiring far smaller doses. Most users will notice a difference in their first dose. Dosage is dependant on body weight, but generally 3 to 5 grams per day is the recommended amount. Available in the form of capsules and powder it’s best to spread your daily intake out, rather than consuming it all at once. Taking three 1 gram capsules at three separate times in the day is one example. Creatine ethyl ester will be most effectively absorbed if taken before a meal. The benefits of creatine ethyl ester for the purposes of muscle building & strength may be further enhanced by stacking with other supplements such as linking Whey Protein, Pre Workout Nitric Oxide, Amino Acids or BCAA's, plus a range of Testosterone & Anti-Estrogen formulas including Methoxy, Tribulus & Resveratrol.
Creatine ethyl ester is considered safe with little to no negative side effects. As always one should though as a precaution check with your health care professional before starting a cycle of creatine ethyl ester or any supplementation programe, especially if you suffer from any liver, kidney or pre-existing medical condition. Females should not take creatine ethyl ester while pregnant or lactating.
