Abdominal Leg Raise
Abdominal Leg Raises are an effective way to activate the lower abs. With this exercise the aim is to activate the transverse abdominus (TA) & the lower ab muscles. You'll hit the whole of the abs & the core. but we really want to try to activate the lower ab muscles. Have your legs almost straight, with a slight bend in the knees before activating the lower abs and raising up the legs to just under 90 degrees. Use constant tension like with all other ab exercises & remember to move the legs smoothly & slowly. Use the mind and muscle connection to get the most of this exercise for the lower abs & use the tempo of 2 seconds up, 2 seconds down. Nick Jones - World Bodybuilding Champion & Kymbel Hunt
