Being a vegetarian on a general diet my protein demands were not being met for wanting to build muscle. Gold Standard Whey Protein from Optimum Nutrition is without a doubt the best low-calorie protein shakes on the market. I have noticed big gains in lean muscle thanks to drinking the shakes 2-3 times a day. The best flavour is easily Banana Crème but any of the ‘Chocolate’ flavours including ‘Rocky Road” are good too. Depending on your goals; you can use Gold Standard Whey to bulk-up by frequently drinking the shakes or to cut by substituting them in for a tasty super-lean source of high-quality protein. The added glutamine is a nice touch and the 5.5g of BCAAs complete the all around quality package. Also, Gold Standard Whey is gentle on the stomach and surprisingly filling. With great value for money, every penny spent on Gold Standard Whey is well spent. |

For the past 3 months I have been using Gold Standard 100% Whey. . Firstly all I can say this stuff has worked wonders and am now seeing real progress in the gym, the rocky road takes some time to get used to but I am now hooked on the stuff, an all round awesome product. Also delivery was hassle free and arrived sooner than I expected, normally by next day within Australia. This product offers a large variety of flavours and they all taste great! My favourite is Cookies & Cream. Optimum nutrition is packed with 24g of protein per serving as well as 4g of glutamine. Not only it makes a great shake, I also use it to make a protein snack bar as well, taste great and only cost about 1 DOLLAR per serving! |

Since starting my training i have only stuck to one brand of Protein. However after several years, a friend of mine convinced me to try out this protein he was using (Optimum 100% Whey Gold Standard). He told me that when he started using this product he started seeing real results! I have been using this product for 2 weeks now and I can already see the improvement in my training and recovery! I would highly recommend this product to all trainers out there willing to improve their recovery and performance at the gym. Cookies and Cream is my favourite! |

This product tastes very good. The banana cream flavour is very different to the conventional flavours like chocolate and vanilla which are bearable, but I find this flavour to be delicious and very creamy like a banana milkshake from a store, especially with a low fat milk. With water it is still very tasty. The mixability is excellent, no clumps form, and you can tell just from this that the product is of a high quality. Even after my first workout I found that my recovery was very fast and my muscles had less fatigue. I purchased this product because I know it is very popular and has had some great reviews and had to try it for myself. I am very impressed with its effectiveness and it really lives up to the hype. I have tried more expensive whey protein blends which really do not even compare with this. The ingredient profile is nothing short of impressive. Ultimately, for a post workout supplement you cant go past this if you are a serious athlete, bodybuilder, or fitness fanatic. It allows you to keep lifting weights and push yourself harder and more regularly and is definitely the best value for money on the market. I highly recommend this product. I will keep buying it, and keep using it. 10/10 for taste, 10/10 for mixability, 10/10 for effectiveness, 10/10 for value for money. |

Optimum 100% whey has helped me with my struggle to build "lean mass". When I started working out I told myself I would not let myself get big but look fat..... this happened. Too many carbs, not enough cardio and the wrong protein. Optimum 100% Whey is a great product, low in fat, tastes great and helps build lean muscle. |

For the past 2 months I have been using Gold Standard 100% Whey. It is a great post-workout drink simply because it works. When I wake up after a workout, my muscle soreness is less than it was before using this product, even though training intensity is the same. I sometimes also have it before bed, and it makes a great night time shake because it has different proteins which release at different time. This is important because if your on a budget, you can make do with just this protein shake instead of forking out more money for a casein product. I have experienced good gains from this product and would definitely buy it again. The only bad thing about it is I don't like the Cookies and Cream flavour; however I've had Strawberry as well and it is much better. |

Having tried other brands of Whey Protein (including BSN Syntha 6), I now exclusively use Optimum gold standard. It is simply the most efficient and cost effective whey on the market today. Comprising of 24g of pure whey protein, 5.5g BCAA’s and 4g Glutamine it as all the essential amino acids. Furthermore it has virtually no fat, which allows optimum protein synthesis. It’s advisable to add some sort of carbohydrate (i.e. waxy maize starch) to your post workout nutrition, as this product contains virtually no carbohydrates. |

But so far, i've found ON 100% Whey Gold Standard to be the most convenient and pragmatic protein powder. It tastes great! It goes down your stomach nicely, and this one bag of protein has served me well for all times during the day - before breakfast, pre lunch/post lunch snack, pre dinner snack or just add some good carbs (I recommend Waxy Maize) and it works great as a post-workout protein. |

I have been sampling many products on the market that advertise being the best protein supplement available in terms of the taste and the nutritional profile; Optimum Nutrition’s 100% Gold Standard Whey is right up there, in terms of ingredients because of the high concentrations of BCAAs and glutamine per serving; however this product is advertised to have very low fat, carbohydrates and sugar. This is true but if the buyer shops around a little longer they will realise that there are products that have close to zero of all the bad calories unlike this product which has got 3 grams of carbohydrates. I have used many different flavours from this brand and none of them have lived up to what the public have been led to believe. If you are looking for an easily mixed protein powder for convenience and you are not too concerned about the taste then this will give you the best “bang for your buck”. |

I have used 100% Whey for about a month now and have really helped in becoming stronger than I was and made me build a lot of muscle over this month. I started taking 1 scoop in the morning and another scoop after each work-out. Now I’m taking 2 scoops in the morning and 2 every post-workout. The taste (cookies and cream) is delicious and mixes very easily. I haven’t had any side effects what so ever. |

ON 100% Whey Gold Standard mixes well in a shaker cup which is a difficult thing to find in a protein powder, and the taste is fantastic. The chocolate flavour is so good that I have my girlfriend drinking it! I've been taking this protein for the last month now after primarily using muscle bulk powders before. I am already noticing good cut-backs in weight without losing any strength, exactly what I was after! It has also been one of the better flavoured protein powders I have tasted and although I was a little bit hesitatant at first to purchase it, I would highly recommend it as im going to get 150 serves out of the biggest pack so it does represent good value for money, especially considering it's a 100% protein powder. I have been a long time user of ON products and I must say without any bias that it is simply the best! It has worked magic with me. I have been a regular user of ON's Serious Mass and 100% Whey Gold Standard Whey. Both the supplements have given me amazing results. When it comes to Whey Protein I think ON's Gold Standard is the best the market has to offer as it has the best combination of protein per serving (roughly around 80% protein per 30 gram serving),reputation of the brand (Optimum Nutrition), popularity etc. It has been voted supplement of the year several times in major U.S supplement surveys. With ON you can’t go wrong! I have been using ON products for nearly 2 years now and haven’t switched because of the awesome results it has given me but frankly speaking after this amount of time I’m becoming bored of the flavours (even though ON has more flavour choices than any other powder). I was really happy to receive a sample of Mocha Cappuccino from Mr Supplement as I had never tried this flavour before. I must say I really love it! So here goes........ON 100% Whey Gold Standard Whey is definitely up there with the best I have had. This is the 3rd occasion I’ve used it and I was also lucky enough to get a free shirt and free delivery from Mr Supplement, so it also represents great value for my hard earned coin. I tried the Rocky Road flavour this time round which is great with milk but the best is definitely Cookies and Cream. It’s all natural with no preservatives so it is also easily mixed. Very high quality protein with added bonus of glutamine and all those BCCAs, you just can't go wrong. I’ve been a long time user of Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard. Basically I’ve tried a lot of other protein powders but find ON’s 100% hard to beat. It’s unique in that that it mixes easily, contains a high protein percentage, has fast & sustained type proteins making it a great 24/7 all day powder. Plus has added BCAA’s, L-Glutamine & Digestive Enzymes. If you do a bit of research looking at the science & nutritional information you can quickly see this is a high quality supplement which is beyond a standard protein powder. All said the best part I think is that it’s available in a large size which makes it excellent value & the taste is superb with Chocolate being my favourite. |
