Universal Nutrition have been in the supplement business for well over 3 decades having established themselves in the late 1970s with their iconic branding. One of their most successful line of products has been their Animal Series with such notable products as Animal Pak, Animal Cuts and Animal Stak just to name a few. While the company has been rather quiet over the last few years or so, they’ve decided to start 2014 on a high with the release of a new fat burner titled Red Hot.
Universal Nutrition Red Hot Highlights
- Ursolic Acid for fat burning and muscle preservation
- Capsaicin for increased fat metabolism
Universal Nutrition Red Hot Ingredients & Dosage
Very few details have been released on the new fat burner from Universal Nutrition, however we do have two confirmed ingredients including:
- Ursolic Acid
- Capsimax (A Capsicum Extract)
Each bottle of Universal Nutrition Red Hot will contain 60 capsules with a recommended serving size of 1 capsule and a maximum daily intake of 2. Red Hot will most likely also include yohimbe, which will have to be removed if Universal wants the product sold in Australia and New Zealand.
Universal Nutrition Red Hot Pros & Effectiveness
Universal Nutrition have always made some excellent supplements; especially as part of their Animal Series. Ursolic Acid is a molecule which is found in apple peels which have been studied for their ability to increase fat metabolism and also reduce fat gain whilst on a high fat diet. Ursolic acid has also been shown to reduce muscle mass loss with fasting – a common occurrence with morning exercisers.
Capsicum extract has been shown to support raised fat metabolism as well as reduce inflammation, which can occur with intense physical exercise. From so little details, Red Hot is already looking like a winner, but we’ll be updating this review as more information is released.
Universal Nutrition Red Hot Cons
As more information is made available for the product, we’ll be taking a closer look at the potential negatives of the product.
Universal Nutrition Red Hot Taste & Mixability
Universal Nutrition’s Red Hot fat burner will most likely be in capsule form.
Universal Nutrition Red Hot Verdict
So far with only two ingredients known of Red Hot, the fat burner from Universal Nutrition appears to be one which has a lot of promise. Universal have long been known for their effective, well dosed and popular supplements which have almost a cult like status within bodybuilders and casual trainers alike. If they can do the same with Red Hot and continue with more releases, 2014 will be a good year for Universal Nutrition. Before the product comes out though, why not try some other excellent fat burners such as:
