The trend for fast acting, but long lasting protein blends has grown significantly over the last few years. Tricellar Whey is similar in principle, name and formulation to the recently released Muscletech product, Micellar Whey. Each serving of Tricellar Whey contains four different types of protein including:
- Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate
- Micellar Casein
- Whey Protein Isolate
- MicelleXL – A restructured micellar casein compound three times the size of casein.
The last ingredient in question is the same as the one used in Optimum Nutrition’s Tricelle Casein. Each serving only provides 90 calories with 20.5g of protein, 1.3g of carbohydrates and 0.2g of fat. It’s an interesting formula, which speaks volumes of blended protein formulas to come in the future.
