Consumers are turning toward organic products for many reasons. People are becoming more conscious of the inclusion of pesticide residues and genetically modified material in the manufacture of their food and consumer products, and are moving toward organic products for peace of mind. Another reason for the swell of support for organic products is a desire to lend support to products and manufacturers that rely on the sustainable methods and encourage the technological innovation that are hallmarks of organic production.
Once on the fringes, the organic movement has picked up a lot of momentum in recent years and today, it is estimated that close to 1% of all farming worldwide is organic (1).
Certified Organic Protein
The word "organic" is used to describe farming and agricultural practices that are conducted sustainably and transparently and characterised by the use of natural resources and processes.
