Muscletech Premium Gold 100% Whey Protein Facts
Muscletech have always been a company that has excelled in the creation of new products. Their latest effort though is an interesting move from the veteran company, who looks as though they’re offering a direct challenge, both in product and name to one of the best selling protein powders in the world. The new product will be known as Muscletech Premium Gold 100% Whey Protein.
Muscletech Premium Gold 100% Whey Protein Review & Ingredients
As you can see from the name, it’s only really one word off from Optimum Nutrition’s Gold Standard 100% Whey. Formula wise, it’s pretty close as well featuring a blend of whey proteins including:
- Whey Protein Isolate
- Whey Protein Concentrate
- Whey Peptides
Each 34g serve of the powder provides 24g of protein, 4g of carbs and 2g of fat for a total of roughly 130 calories. There’s really nothing all that unique or interesting about the product, so it’s really just another item to add to their range.
Muscletech Premium Gold 100% Whey Protein Flavours, Mixability & Taste
Initially, the new whey protein will be available in two flavours including Double Rich Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream. If Muscletech are really hoping to compete with Optimum, then they’re going to have to come up with about 20 more flavours. Muscletech’s proteins are generally thicker and creamier than Optimum’s, so this might be the key selling point for their new product. Mixability should be pretty good based on the ingredients and with their experience in flavouring technology, the 100% Whey Protein should be pretty tasty as well.
Muscletech Premium Gold 100% Whey Protein Release Date
The new Premium Gold 100% Whey Protein from Muscletech is already available in the US, so it should only be a matter of time before it makes its way over to other international markets. We expect the product to be available sometime in the second quarter or 2016, so anywhere between April to June.
