Setting Goal Setting For Bodybuilding Tips

  • Along with the big goals you set from yourself, the kind of physique you aim to create, and the competitions you want to win, it is important that you also learn to set smaller goals that include day by day challenges, or short term achievements.
  • For the best results you should look at applying the SMART approach to your training and goal setting. SMART stands for specific,measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound. Using this principle to set small goals over a period of time will eventually lead to the realisation of larger goals.
  • Remember that by setting specific goals, making sure you have a way of documentng your progress, being honest about your abilties and expectations, being realistic about the amount of time, work and sacrifices you will have to make and setting appropriate deadlines will help you stay in control, motivated and on track for achieving larger goals.
  • Examples of Little Goals Leading Up to Big Goals. Say for example your aim is to increase the size of your arms. Before you can achieve this, you have to build them progressively over time.
