Best known for their extremely popular fat burner Oxyshred, EHPLabs haven’t really released anything significant in the last couple of years. However two new supplements are making their way onto the market, both of them pre workouts. One of them will be known as EHPlabs RP Max.
EHP Labs RP Max Highlights
- CNS Thermo Activation Blend
- Boosts energy, focus and concentration
- Supports fat metabolism and appetite suppression
- Added beta-alanine to enhance endurance and anti-fatigue capacity
Out of the two pre workouts being released by EHP Labs, RP Max is the stimulant containing one of the two. The main active component of the formula is known as the “CNS Thermo Activator” blend and contains the following ingredients as part of a 3974mg matrix:
- Choline Bitartrate
- Caffeine Anhydrous
- Guarana Seed Extract
- Yerba Mate Leaf Extract
- Bitter Orange Extract (Advantra Z)
- Higenamine HCL
- Black Pepper Fruit Extract (BioPerine)
The formula also contains a range of B vitamins as well as vitamin C. Other ingredients that make up the rest of the 6.5g serving size includes agents used to support flavouring and mixability. RP Max is available in 320g tubs with 50 serves per tub.
EHP Labs RP Max Benefits, Pros & Effectiveness
The new RP Max formula offers exactly what it advertises, a central nervous system stimulator and thermogenic in one. The interesting blend of ingredients is ideal at boosting energy levels as well as focus and concentration. This is thanks to multiple stimulant sources such as caffeine, yerba mate, guarana, bitter orange extract (citrus aurantium) and higenamine. Being stimulants, they also help to suppress the appetite and support fat metabolism. The addition of choline as well furthers the fat loss potential of the supplement as it is a crucial ingredient in the fat burning process. Beta-alanine is the only other true performance enhancing ingredient and is considered on of the best to delay fatigue and prolong endurance due to its ability to buffer against acid build up in the muscles.
EHP Labs RP Max Negatives & Cons
One of the major drawbacks of the new RP Max is its lack of transparency in terms of ingredient labelling. This makes it difficult for trainers to gauge if the supplement is adequately dosed and whether it’s suitable to have more than one serve at a time. The formulation itself is quite interesting and unique with very few fat burning pre workouts available on the market. Having said that, while the supplement does do a decent job in boosting energy levels and enhancing focus, it doesn’t do as great a job at sustaining longer or more intense training sessions. As a standalone supplement, it also doesn’t offer a good pump either. These drawbacks are simply due to EHP Labs splitting their pre workouts into RP Max and PSI, which has made each one slightly underwhelming.
EHP Labs RP Max Flavours, Taste & Mixability
Three flavours are currently available for the new RP Max including Strawberry Daiquiri, Mango Cooler and Citrus Margarita. As usual, EHP Labs have outdone themselves when it comes to flavouring. Each option provides a fruity, refreshing shake, which is a perfect pick-me-up just before a training session. Mixability is high with next to no hints of grittiness or residue. If you were a fan of OxyShred and its taste, you will not be disappointed with RP Max.
EHP Labs RP Max Verdict
RP Max from EHP Labs is a definitely a unique new pre workout supplement. It does a fine job at boosting energy and focus levels as well as suppressing appetite and supporting fat metabolism. Compared with many pre workouts, RP Max as a standalone could do with some extra ingredients to boost its ability to enhance performance. Together with the other pre workout PSI though, the combination is one that can rival some of the better options on the market. RP max is best suited for trainers who’s workout sessions are under an hour to maximise its effectiveness.
