Cellucor COR-Performance Gainer or #CORGainer as it is referred to in social media circles is the latest big name supplement to be released by powerhouse supplement company, Cellucor. It coincides with the release of #CORCasein - a casein supplement by Cellucor. Together with the existing COR-Performance Whey, the protein supplements make up a basic line of protein supplements for die-hard Cellucor fans.
Cellucor COR-Performance Gainer Review
Cellucor C4 Extreme has been one of the most successful pre workout's to date, which is probably a key reason why Cellucor have sought to leverage off it's success and make a more complete range of sports nutrition supplements that cover the basics. Interestingly, with COR-Gainer, Cellucor have chosen to stay away from the high calorie segment of the mass gainers market and stick with a lower calorie gainer more suited to the easy gainers.
Cellucor COR-Performance Gainer Ingredients & Dosage
No official nutritional information was available at the time of writing, other than the basic macros, which come in at 60g protein, 80g carbs and 5g creatine monohydrate per serve. We also know that the gainer comes with added digestive enzymes and BCAAs, but not sure on the exact amounts.
Cellucor have opted for a 5lb tub and 10lb bag as their two sizes, which is pretty stock standard. But with the high standards set by packaging for its existing products, it will be interesting to see what Cellucor bring to the table for their bags.
The labelling on the supplement highlights that it uses high quality protein. Whether this means it will feature only whey protein or perhaps a significant portion of a high quality whey protein like whey protein isolate is hard to say.
Cellucor COR-Performance Gainer Flavour & Mixability
Cellucor have a great reputation when it comes to flavour quality and variation, but at this stage we only know that a chocolate flavour will definitely be released, but it's likely we will see a number of other flavours hit the market.
Cellucor COR-Performance Gainer Release Date
Local Australian Cellucor supplier Nutrition Systems, expects COR Gainer to be available by May/June 2016 so Aussie's won't have to wait too long to get their hands on some.
Cellucor COR-Performance Gainer Verdict
Being a relatively crowded market segment, it will be interesting to see how the average weight gainer supplement user responds to the launch of another entrant in the form of COR Gainer from Cellucor. It's safe to say with Cellucor's reputation that the supplement will be top quality and good tasting - so it's just a matter of how receptive the market will be.
