BSN were one of the first bodybuilding, training and fat loss supplement companies that made their name thanks to a strong thematic presence with their bold red and consistent packaging. It also didn’t help that they made some great supplements such as their protein powder Syntha 6 and their pre-workout NO Xplode. One of their latest suggested releases will be a potent new amino acid supplement known as AminoBlast.
BSN AminoBlast Highlights
- Potent Combination of Essential Amino Acids (EAAs) and Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs)
BSN AminoBlast Ingredients & Dosage
Few details are known about AminoBlast but initial statements are that it will be a “power blend of amino acids”. Guesses are that the supplement will emulate Gaspari Nutrition’s AminoLast and contain:
The amino acids will most likely be in peptide form, which has been the trend for the past year or so. The serving size will most likely be between 10-20g offering at least 70% amino acids.
BSN AminoBlast Pros & Effectiveness
Ever since Scivation Xtend, the use of amino acids and intra workout supplements have grown. And for good reason; amino acids and branched chain amino acids are extremely beneficial to support recovery, anabolism and muscle building while negating negative catabolic and muscle breakdown events. Amino acids are a safe but effective supplement to support gains and BSN AminoBlast hopes to tap into this growing category of supplements.
BSN AminoBlast Cons
More information is needed regarding the supplement in order to make any negative statements. However, as with most amino acid supplements, it’s important to realise that it shouldn’t replace a good protein powder.
BSN AminoBlast Taste & Mixability
BSN products and amino acid supplements in general are very easy to flavour. If BSN decide to use peptides, the taste might be slightly bitter and will most likely froth up quite extensively, but this should settle quite quickly. Most amino acid supplements mix well with little residue.
BSN AminoBlast Verdict
As previously mentioned, BSN AminoBlast is a safe supplement, but an effective one. It is an ideal supplement to complement a protein powder and can be used in place of a pre-workout to support performance and gains. It’s a shame that Gaspari got in early with his supplement AminoLast, but I doubt BSN would be fretting about a similar name.
