APS L-GlutamineAPS Nutrition L-Glutamine - Is referred to as a "conditionally essential amino acid" meaning in catabolic states brought on by exercise induced muscular stress, L-Glutamine becomes essential (requiring intake from food or supplements) because the body can't keep up with production. L-Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the human body and is involved in many metabolic processes including the synthesis and protection of muscle tissue and the production of glycogen. First and foremost L-Glutamine is a fuel source for enterocytes (intestinal cells), nutritionally supporting the integrity of the intestinal lining. L-Glutamine supplementation may help support healthy muscle tissue repair and recovery needs.APS NutritionSupplements > Glutaminehttps://cdn.mrsupplement.com.au/resources/imgs/products/aps-nutrition-glutamine.1479869778314.png34.9534.95AUD

APS Nutrition L-Glutamine - Is referred to as a "conditionally essential amino acid" meaning in catabolic states brought on by exercise induced muscular stress, L-Glutamine becomes essential (requiring intake from food or supplements) because the body can't keep up with production. L-Glutamine supplementation may help support healthy muscle tissue repair and recovery needs.

With over 350 patents, Ajinomoto is truly a world innovator when it comes to amino acids. Produced through microbiological fermentation using natural raw ingredients of non-animal origin Ajipure L-Glutamine is USP/FCC grade and is the only L-Glutamine in the world manufactured to the most exacting pharmaceutical standards by the world's largest amino acid manufacturer. L-Glutamine is involved in maintaining a positive nitrogen balance (an anabolic state) and also aids rapidly growing cells (immune system hymphocytes and intestinal cell enterocytes). In addition, L-Glutamine is a regulator of acid-base balance and is a nitrogen transporter.

What are the functional properties of L-Glutamine?

L-Glutamine is unique in that like glucose it is one of the preferred energy sources utilized by rapidly proliferating cells. It is a major fuel source for the brain and together with its relatives the stimulant neurotransmitter glutamic acid and the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA they form the most abundant amino group in the human brain.

Will L-Glutamine help me with my health maintenance and exercise program?

L-Glutamine plays a major role in DNA synthesis and serves as a primary transporter of nitrogen into the muscle tissues. It serves to replenish nitrogen loss due to excessive muscle training and speeds up recovery. It is so vital to the building and maintenance of muscle tissue that 60% of the human intracellular amino acid pool is L-Glutamine. The very fact that muscle is the most important tissue for L-Glutamine synthesis and storage is evidence of it's vital role in maintaining positive nitrogen balance and the building of these important sport support structures.

This is the only glutamine i use. Easy to mix and no flavours so I can add it to my other shakes. Really helps to boost recovery after longer endurance sessions.
