Body Ripped Pro Series L-GKG - A key amino acid in muscle metabolism, Glutamine is also the most abundant amino acid in muscle tissue. Bodybuilders and weight-trainees began using Glutamine more than 10 years ago, when it was revealed that when the muscles are in a Glutamine depleted state – such as that which can occur during training – dehydration of the tissues occurs, followed by a general reduction in muscle protein (a catabolic state). Body Ripped’s GKG combines free-form L-Glutamine with the Glutamine precursor L-Alpha Ketoglutarate.
It is believed that while some Glutamine can be absorbed and used by the stomach lining – never making it to the muscles – L-Alpha Ketoglutarate is a Glutamine precursor, undergoing conversion to Glutamine after digestion.
For best results, use GKG with meals or protein drinks, and before/during and after training.
